Everyone knows that “cute teddy bears” do not like dragons… Did you not know? Well, neither me, until playing Bear Soldier, a game like Worms and Bloons! In Bear Soldier, you’re a teddy bear (hey, I’m not kidding!) who does not like dragons and decided to eliminate all of them using your weapons, and ends here your “cuteness” because it uses traditional guns as pistols, rifles, knives, grenades, explosives with triggers, etc.
If you like explode or shoot dragons (or anything else, then just use your imagination!) Bear Soldier can be the right game for you! However, do not think you will have unlimited ammo at your disposal! The ammunition is very limited and there may be obstacles to be destroyed as glass blocks, for example, then you need to use all available resources very well.
That is why we consider this game a mixture of action and puzzle game and I believe that will please players of both audiences. The entire game uses the mouse, which makes the learning process very easy: aim using the mouse and hold the mouse button long enough to determine the strength with which certain trigger the gun current and ready – now just trying to pray to kill all dragons at once (I got twice!).
If there’s one thing I would love to see in that game, it would be a greater amount of weapons (something close to Worms Armageddon 🙂 ), the possibility of moving the bear walk through scenario in order to approach or move away from the more enemies , a much larger scenario with scrolling and timing for eliminating dragons, for example, thus accounting for the player’s score also from these parameters. Oh, and a ranking system to let us know how well we were (ideal would be to have this information for each level!). So yes the game would be much more challenging!
