If there’s something cool that I read today is certainly regarding news in the world of fighting games. I think everyone who likes console or arcade games have ever played in his life at least a good fighting game and that’s what we’re here, to announce another super release. Who knows Jim, Hworang and Xiaoiu must already be guessing what I mean: it is more one game of Tekken series, this time Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on special edition for the Nintendo Wii – who has one should be proud, no?
Ok, “more one fighting game, but how it differs from other ones”, perhaps you’re thinking and I do not have many reasons to justify it, except the presence of characters / costumes of characters from Nintendo! As soon as I saw it, I was quite confused – and I’m still not sure which characters are new and which are only new clothes, I think everything is just new clothes, whatever – but what was it really that funny and gratifying to see Mario punching Bowser’s face!
Ok, but we’ll talk about that later, for now, let’s start analyzing the combat system, which it seems has not changed – well, maybe they should work some new concept associated with existing concepts, after all, every player, when buying a new game really would like to see new things and not just clothes and new characters, but let’s go ahead. What really brought a new air was really new clothes or characters (I said, do not know yet what new characters and what are really just a new guise), also counting Zelda Link to the team! There are so many possibilities that It looked like a “Super Smash Bros.” video!
And speaking of seeing is believing, do not worry I’ll show already a game trailer shown at TGS this year, but let’s continue our comments. If you like the various game modes from Tekken series, you might like to know there is a new mode in this version, called Mushroom Battle, where there are classic items from the Mario series of games scattered around the battle arena that can be collected – but not, no feather to fly! In the Mortal Kombat series we have seen swords, spears and axes, so it’s fair that TTT 2 allows the use of “deadly” mushrooms as power ups, no? And if you’re ready for a fight can choose new clothes and for sure everything will be funnier.
In the physics of the game, we can see a little more care in handling particles for graphical effects and interaction of the characters with the scenario – for example, throw the opponent to the ground with some force and floor pieces will fly – but such interaction is quite limited, unfortunately.
And since I know that many here expect really see the trailer to know how the game is, here is it. Grab the popcorn and sit:
