Idinaloq – A shoot’em up Japanese 3D!

You know Idinaloq , 3D shoot’em up game (also known as ship game ) from the Japanese company Namikaze Project ? If you do not know, I’ll be happy, then, to present you this game now! : D

Logo Idinaloq

Idinaloq it is a ship freeware game for the PC-Windows platform that despite the excellent 3D graphics, 2D has movement, which is not really bad, since the vast majority of shoot’em ups have such a system also navigation. Originally developed in 1999, it was created to 512×384 resolution (but can also be run at 640×480), one of the time standards. Unfortunately the company no longer updates this game, which is why he continues to work with such a resolution.

In the game you can choose from one of four drivers available and go to battle. Each has his own ship, with strengths and weaknesses. After choosing, you will already into space on a mission, and the beating does not stop more!

The action is frantic and options for shooting are only those you already have from the beginning: front shots with cannons, cannon shots with side shields and a special (if I remember correctly, it’s been long since I play this game 🙂 ).

To play the game, you simply download the following files:

Download here the Idinaloq game (no videos)

Download here Idinaloq video files

To include the videos in the game by copying the same for mov folder of the installation of the game. The videos will run normally on older operating systems such as Windows 95 and Windows 98, however, for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista, there is no conclusive data (I tested it on my Windows XP and sometimes video was displayed correctly and, in others, only the audio was heard).

If you can not view the videos in the game, no problem, since you can open them in Windows Media Player (or other video player of your choice) and watch them.

In addition, I offer you below the first 50 seconds of the opening animation (unfortunately for some problem at the time of video coding, I could not bring it in full here, for you and needed slightly reduce the quality :() :

Now some recommendations: If after opening the game switch to sleep mode (where it is minimized), do not worry, this can happen even in newer operating systems. Switch between the programs by selecting them and expect everything back to normal. If you see “rectangles” on lathes of the shots and other objects, it means you are having some problems regarding the transparency of objects. Obviously this is an error that does not affect the gameplay itself, but rather affects the aesthetics of the game.

I’m looking for some other version of this game that does not have such a problem of transparency, but this can be solved later.

I hope you enjoy this time to face hordes and more hordes of enemies in Idinaloq . Until next time and good game! 😉
